To Order by Mail
You can order some of our artwork (the pieces that include shipping in the price) online using the easy and convenient PayPal Shopping Cart. You don't need to have a PayPal account to order using your Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express card.
Click on the buttons by the work that you wish to purchase. Click on the buttons to see or change your order and continue with checkout.
For artwork such as watercolors and spoons that don't have buttons or don't include shipping you can still order online using your credit card or PayPal account. Contact us (via telephone or email) and we'll tell you the total including shipping and how to use the online system to order.
Email us or call us at 1-906-644-2598 [eastern time between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm]. We are two active people who are outside or gone a fair amount so we may not be available when you call. If you leave your phone number, name and when is the best time to get in touch with you we'll call back as soon as we can. We usually check our email daily so unless we're off on an adventure for several days our reply should be reasonably prompt.
Art is a hands-on-eyes-on endeavor for both the artist and the observer. Making a piece is only part of the process; having someone truly appreciate the work helps bring it together. We are happy to sell our work, and will try to make it as easy as possible to order. Ideally all transactions would be done in person, but given the reality of our wide ranging world, we will do the best we can long distance. If you live within driving distance we can often arrange a convenient meeting spot for personal delivery.
Though we strive to keep our website up-to-date there may be a delay between the time a piece is sold and updating the pages. You can call, email, or write us for availability or with any questions you may have. All work is 100% guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with a piece when you receive it, you can return it to us in original condition, packed carefully as it was shipped to you, via insured UPS or FedEx or Priority Mail within seven days for a full refund.
Delivery Time: Orders are shipped via UPS or Priority Mail. Artwork will be shipped when payment has cleared (usually ten business days if by check, one to three days if with credit card). Pieces that are currently on exhibit in a show will be shipped when the show has ended (that would be noted on the website by the piece). Delivery time varies depending on where you are located (we are in the Upper Midwest). If we ship via UPS we will send you the UPS tracking number so you can track the shipment.
Shipping charges: Shipping costs are included in the price of the piece for some work for orders within the continental United States. For deliveries to other locations, please inquire. With other work where the shipping charges vary widely contact us for the amount to add for shipping. On these pieces we charge whatever it costs to ship. (Where the shipping is included in the price I use my best guess as to what it will cost).
GIFT CERTIFICATES: Custom, hand painted Gift Certificates are available for any amount and can be used for artwork or books. Gift Certificates are a great idea whether the recipient is a knowledgeable collector or a new appreciator of the arts. Click HERE to see samples of the certificates.
When you order a Gift Certificate, please include the name of the person(s) the Gift Certificate should be made out to, the amount, and where it is to be sent. If you would like us to send it directly to the recipient, please indicate who we should say it is from and any special message you would like included. You may choose from the hand painted designs pictured on the Gift Certificate page or we will pick one for you.
You can order Gift Certificates by mail or contact us for instructions on how to order online using your credit card or PayPal account.
Watercolors: Paintings are shipped matted and ready for framing, sandwiched securely within recycled packing material (usually 2 inches of foamboard and cardboard on each side) and shipped via UPS. Actual shipping charges will be added so contact us for the amount to add to your order, which varies widely depending on where it is shipped and the size of the painting.
If you are in our area (central Upper Peninsula of Michigan) we can probably meet with you to deliver artwork. In that case, paintings may be available already framed and glazed with glass, ready for hanging. The same is true if you come to our home to pick it up (which is only practical in the non-snow months as there is a 1/2 mile walk on snowshoes in the winter) (though we do have a sled ... ).
Damage in Shipment: Though we've never had a piece damaged in shipment, it can happen. Be sure to fully inspect your package when it is delivered. Any external evidence of loss or damage must be noted on the paper which you sign on receipt. If not noted, claims may be denied by the carrier. If you find damage within when you open the box be sure to report the damage and file a claim immediately (the same day) with the carrier (UPS or FedEx or USPS). Then contact us so we can help you decide what can be done with the damaged artwork. Hopefully this is something none of us will ever have to deal with.
Who is ManyTracks Art Gallery? We (Steve Schmeck and Sue Robishaw) have been having a good time living the "green life"/"simple life" on our homestead in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for more than thirty years. We began hand carving wooden spoons our first winter here in 1978 and haven't stopped yet, though our individual art has taken many different directions in the years since in addition to handcarved spoons. The "Art Gallery" is simply the collection of our individual artwork and is not a brick-and-mortar store.
