Said to be a choice dessert apple with great flavor, crisp, juicy. Great flavor right off the tree but improves with storage. Flesh tinged yellow, firm, aromatic, complex. Skin red or orangish with russet dots. Late ripening, stores several months. 2023 - transplanted small wild likely crab seedling, next east of Chokepear. 5/13 grafted scion from John Kring, Maple Valley Orchards ~ 24"^. Nice growth 7" plus 3 buds. Splice graft looks a bit iffy on one side. Late Nov. leaves not dormant yet.
